Theme & Visuals
Animals in the Buffalo Stampede game are painted as portraits on cream tiles. The bison carries a dark mane and horns on a purple sunset field. Beside it sit a bald eagle, a snarling cougar, a grey wolf and a bugling elk with antlers.
The Sunset wild is a small landscape in a gold frame: a yellow sun drops behind mesa silhouettes under a purple sky. The Gold Coin scatter is a gold coin with a striding robed figure inside a ring of stars. Low symbols are large A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 card ranks in different colours, with crowns on the K and Q.
Buffalo Stampede Free Games Feature
Free games are the only bonus round, and Gold Coin scatters open it when 3 or more land in any positions. Bet and ways stay the same as on the spin that triggered the feature. Every Sunset that lands on reels 2, 3 or 4 during free games multiplies that spin's total win by 2x or 3x.
Gold Coin Trigger: 8, 15 or 20 Free Games
Gold Coin pays in any position, and its scatter win is added to the ways wins of the same spin. After the award screen, press PLAY to start the free games.
Scatter pays are quoted in coins and multiplied by coin size. At the A$0.40 minimum bet a coin is worth A$0.01, so 5 Gold Coins pay A$8. On the A$80 maximum each coin is A$2, and the same five return A$1,600.
| Gold Coins | Free Games | Scatter Pay (coins) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 8 | 80 |
| 4 | 15 | 400 |
| 5 | 20 | 800 |
Retriggers and 5 Extra Free Games
A fresh landing of 3 or more Gold Coins during free games triggers the Free Games Feature again from inside the round.
Two Gold Coins in any free game add 5 extra free games to the counter.
Sunset Wild Multipliers
The Sunset is the wild substitute for every symbol except the Gold Coin scatter. It appears on the middle reels only: reels 2, 3 and 4. Reels 1 and 5 never show a wild, so a 5-symbol win needs natural symbols on both outer reels.
In the base game the Sunset only substitutes and carries no win multiplier. In free games each Sunset in any row of reels 2, 3 or 4 multiplies the total spin win by 2x or 3x.
Xtra Reel Power: 1024 Ways
There are no fixed paylines. With 4 positions on each of 5 reels, all 1024 ways play on every spin in the base game and in free games. The All Pays cost is 40 coins, so each bet equals 40 coins times the coin size.
Wins start on the leftmost reel and pay left to right across adjacent reels, with the symbol in any of the 4 rows. A combination takes one symbol from each reel, and each symbol is used once per combination. Gold Coin scatters are the only exception.
When a symbol fills several rows of one reel, each row forms its own combination and coinciding wins are added. Per combination, Xtra Reel Power pays only the highest win.
Take 2 Wolves on reel 1, one Wolf on each of reels 2 and 3, and neither a Wolf nor a Sunset on reel 4. That gives 2 combinations of 3 Wolves at 40 coins each, or 80 coins in total.
Symbols and Paytable
Payouts are listed in coins and multiplied by the coin size. At the A$0.40 minimum, 5 Buffalo symbols pay 300 coins, or A$3; the same result returns A$600 on the A$80 maximum. Two of a kind pays only for Buffalo, Eagle, Cougar, Wolf, Elk and Nine.

RTP & Volatility
The online version returns 94.72% RTP, and volatility is high. Sunset multipliers work only in free games, while the base game wild just substitutes. So most of the large wins come from the Free Games Feature, with a ceiling of A$120,000.
For bankroll planning, 100 spins at the A$0.40 minimum cost A$40, and one spin at the maximum costs A$80. Pick a stake your balance can carry through a long run of spins without free games.
